Gitcoin – Quadratic Lands

After dedicating a substantial period to Gitcoin, Kevin Owocki extended an invitation for me to join the core team. This marked the pivotal moment when I transitioned into spearheading the transformation of Gitcoin from a startup into a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). My role within "Quadratic Lands" was notably multifaceted due to our compact team size. I assumed responsibility not only for overseeing design concepts and their implementation but also created most of the the frontend.

In the process of coding this project, a unique concept emerged—an ingenious particle system designed to infuse vibrancy into the webpage. This innovation was inspired by the boring celebrational “confetti” after any airdrop these days. I later embraced the open-source ethos and released this concept as Kinetics.

Undoubtedly, the journey was fraught with challenges, particularly as we worked on seamlessly integrating the micropage into a sprawling monorepo. This endeavor broadened my horizons, compelling me to delve into a lot of domains I never anticipated before. Among my accomplishments, I also took pride in crafting a captivating launch trailer.
